My name is Ganzaya. I originally trained as an engineer, then completed my Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping at TAFE eight years ago. However, after that, despite countless applications, I received no calls for accounting jobs. Before I reached out to Jana and Ogi, I was working as an Amazon delivery driver but felt strongly that I wanted to begin my career in accounting. With a long career gap and only three months of unpaid internship experience from years ago, I felt lost and unsure of how to proceed.

The biggest breakthrough came during the coaching sessions when we mapped out my skills and strengths. Jana and Ogi’s support helped me regain confidence and feel prepared for the journey ahead.

Within a month, I secured a role as a Bookkeeper and Admin at Percy Jack, a family-owned business dating back to the 1900s. My duties now include payroll, invoicing, and inventory accounting—everything I learned through the Xero Certified Accountant course. The company culture is open and supportive, and the location is close to home, exactly what I’d hoped for!

I applied mainly through Indeed and Seek, aiming for 20 applications daily. Out of 80 applications, I received 10 interview calls, attended 6 interviews, and received 2 offers—all within the month I joined Jana Partner’s career program.
